The Authority receives funding via a number of specific grants from the Government, paying for rail, rural bus services and some elements of the concessionary fares scheme. The most significant part of its income comes from the transport levy on the five West Yorkshire district councils.
The budget for 2011/12 was agreed by the Authority at its meeting on 11 February 2011.
