(1) If a member wishes to seek an amendment to the recommendations, he/she may, when exercising his/her right to speak on the item pursuant to StandingOrder 13(4), explain why he/she wishes an amendment to be made and move that a vote be taken on the amendment.
(2) If the request for a deferment is supported by a majority of votes, the item shall be deferred and no further discussion of it shall take place at the meeting.
